This picture was taken a couple of years ago at my aunt's birthday party. It is one of my favorites. My mom and my girls and I took a day trip to celebrate with my aunt. The funny thing is my aunt is really my dad's sister but people have always thought she and my mom look a lot alike!
The first picture was taken this summer when we got together just because. My oldest brother, Troy and his daughter, Lilli also came but we must have taken this picture before they got there. I also don't know how my mom got out of this picture. That isn't right.
Over the last few years we have had some very special family times together. My mom has been so good to plan dinners and trips to get together with our family that lives in the Seattle and Olympia area. It seemed like for many we mostly got together for weddings and funerals (because they were happening often!?) but the last few years we have had more good "just because" times and it is so wonderful! I am thankful for "just because" moments!
