The Terrific Train Trip

Last week, the girls and I had a great opportunity to ride the Amtrak train down to Seattle and go to the Aquarium and Pike Place Market! On the train we did another scavenger hunt, played UNO, met some new people, visited with old friends, had snacks and just enjoyed a relaxing trip with beautiful views we had never seen on the way to Seattle until now.

Through an unfortunate turn of events, my mom got to come with us on our train trip! It ended up being the best blessing to get to spend the day together doing something extra special! We had wonderful time together, as three generations!

Danica, Ellie and me, waiting to catch the train.

My mom treated us to a wonderful meal at Ivars...I thought my girls' choice of lunch was interesting and not normal...Danica ordered clam chowder...

...and Ellie opted for a garden salad. This is often her choice when we go out to eat!?

We had to have a picture with the famous pig in Pike Place Market next to the fish throwing place. The boy on the right is our new friend we met on the train. He was with his mom and grandpa! It was sweet that we both had grandparents along!

We will definitely do this field trip again, only next time we'll check out the Science Center!

What a FUN time! And to have Grandma come, such a wonderful addition, I'd LOVE that. It is so fun going to *big city* with all the sights that light up our small town kids' eyes?! WTG Tara, what a fun mommy building great memories!
