Ellie's new bunny

Ellie has been wanting a bunny for a year now. Last summer we finally told her we could get her one, but we'd have to build a hutch and prepare for it. As the summer passed and days got busy, we had to tell Ellie she needed to wait until Spring to get her bunny...

But then!, our good friend Dan pulled through for us! He called us and asked us if we still wanted a bunny because he knew of a bunny that needed to find a new home. So one night we surprised the kids and followed Dan to his brother's house where there was an adorable bunny, with everything you could ever need to take care of a bunny and we got to take it home!

So Logan came home with us, we set up his hutch and said good night. The kids were so surprised and Ellie was so happy that the next day she couldn't even focus on her school. She spent the whole day checking on her bunny, making sure it's water was full, it had food and she played with it. She went to the garden and brought carrot tops to give to her new friend!

And then we had a winter storm with wind chill of 1 degree outside! Poor Logan, but he is doing fine, we have moved him into the garage and let him come inside a bit. Ellie says Logan is very happy! I say, Ellie is very happy!

Tara, does Logan have a litter box? We took care of a bunny for 9 months when friends went out of town. They can be litter trained and then you can bring them inside as long as you put the litter box inside. Very fun to have a bunny.
