Jelly Belly sadness

On a recent family vacation, we splurged and bought a HUGE container of jelly bellies from Costco. While driving around exploring a new area, we (meaning me) were enjoying the beginning of this jar full of many flavors...

The lid was off...

we almost missed our turn...

but using my skills, I quickly stopped just in time.

Upon braking, we heard the most beautiful sound of water rushing over a waterfall...

No, wait. It was NOT a beautiful sound, rather a terrifying sound...

of a million and a half delicious multi-flavored jelly bellies...

rolling across the floor of our van...

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

We scooped them up, trying hard to beat the 10 second rule...

contemplated giving them to a friend's kids (what you don't know can't hurt you, right?)

Instead, our kids are, as I write, building their immune systems by eating jelly bellies that were defiled with whatever our shoes may have walked through...

That picture represents so many allegories of my life right now. Stupid tri-cities. :)

[Mark wrote that last comment-not the deleted one, but the one before..]

I'll have to think on that for a while... and the Tri-Cities aren't stupid, silly! ~tara
