Man vs. Wild

We've been watching the show, "Man vs. Wild" lately.

The other day, Mark came home and informed us that he

and the kids were going on an adventure!

They were getting "dropped" by a plane in our woods

and would need to find materials to build a fire.

(the pictures are backwards because I am still trying to figure out and

remember how uploading pics to blogger works!)

They took their finds and made the bigger pieces of wood

into smaller ones to start the fires easier.

Jonathan is deep in thought trying to figure out how to make his stick into smaller pieces.

Ellie is using her knife to split this piece of bark.

Danica is a pro with this big knife of Dad's!

After they got back from the woods, Mark explained the challenge

and they figured out how to go about it!

Mark and the kids had a great time exploring our woods together, learning to build their very own fire, and making memories!!

And I got the house cleaned!!!

It was a win, win, win!
