Grandpa Wright with all the kids after they found the"treasure" on the treasure hunt he made for them!
The "vitamin" machine...the kids got to put a nickel inand get a vitamin whenever they thought they needed one
at Grandma and Grandpa Wright's house!!
We just ended a wonderful week with a visit from our dear friends, the Hartungs, from Southern California. They have come here to visit and stay with us for the last 10 years or so...over the years we have embraced many traditions and special things we do. Mochas in the morning, mocha milkshakes in the afternoon, usually some sort of berry picking, date nights, a big BBQ, a bonfire and smores, guys' golfing days, girls' shopping trips, and many other things. One problem is we keep adding new traditions and we can't let go of the old ones!?
A really special thing that has happened every year is that Grandma and Grandpa Wright always keep all the kids (we are up to eight between our two families) and do really special and fun things! This year, Grandma made the most fancy high tea for all of us girls and ladies, and Grandpa and Grandma put on a super fun treasure hunt for the kids!
We also had a great BBQ with both the Hartung and Wright families, (grandparents, siblings, nieces and everyone!)! It is so fun to get together as our families grow and change!! I love making memories!!!
(Now, if we can just get the other Hartungs up here again...we keep praying!)
